Character Information
*Character Name: Swindle
*Character Canon: Transformers: Animated
*Age: tens of thousands of years old... at least.
*Race: Cybertronian
*Timeline/Pull Point: A while after his last appearance... which was in Decepticon Air.
*History: Transformers Wiki ahoy
Swindle has been all over. Everywhere from the planet Andellor to Earth and many many places in between. His business really took off during the Autobot and Decepticon war when he started making deals with Megatron personally, and he was initiated into the Decepticons not long after that. Swindle did not see it as anything special, just a simple business decision that would sure to get him more customers in the future. He was right, as it turned out, as he personally provided Megatron and several of his underlings with state-of-the-art technology.
He was disappointed when the war ended, which caused a worrying downturn in his sales. So he went off to different parts of the galaxy and made a living off of any wars that were going on there. Eventually he heard tales of Megatron being alive, so, after much investigation, he travelled to Earth and decided that this was a perfect place to build a weapon that would guarantee an advantage over the Autobots. So after convincing some morons to collect some parts for his weapon, he attempted to take away an AllSpark fragment from his so-called “Business Partner”. When she refused, he took it from her by force, activated the machine, and contacted Megatron with his fabulous offer. Sadly a pesky Autobot and the even peskier humans came in and destroyed his machine, afterwards freezing Swindle in Car Mode.
Swindle was released a while afterwards while Sentinel Prime was going through an Energy Storm. The mistake the Autobots made was not locking Swindle up, since they assumed that he was locked in car mode and was offline. They paid for their mistake when Swindle cheerfully freed his fellow prisoners (after some negotiation). The Decepticons took the Autobots prisoners and Lugnut put Swindle in charge of watching them while they hunted down Optimus Prime. This was also a mistake, since Swindle felt that his time was better spent looting the ship. So he went off on his own and left the prisoners to escape. Once he was done looting the ship, he stole a vessel and fled the scene, happy with his totally free “shopping spree”.
*Personality: Smooth, persuasive, and perhaps an interesting combination of honesty and dishonesty, Swindle is a business man through and through. Swindle is an arms dealer who will sell to anyone as long as they pay well, because of this he isn’t particularly trusted on either side, but he still has a booming business, so he isn’t too worried about that. The difference he sees between Autobots and Decepticons are that the Decepticons always pay better and are usually his best customers. Really, he is only Decepticon by default for that reason alone, he isn’t technically on a side, even if he does wear the symbol and the colours. On terms of size, he is much shorter than the average Decepticon... infact he’s about the same size of an average Autobot... which makes him pathetically tiny in Decepticon terms. His size rarely bothers or hinders him, since he’s used it to his advantage more than once. Swindle is a great believer in good customer service, and as far as he’s concerned “the Customer is always right.”
On the surface Swindle is friendly, charming, and very confident, something that does help him get customers from time to time. He’s always completely unruffled by dangerous situations, since his job requires him to sometimes end up in them to satisfy a customer or to keep his end of a deal with a business partner. Swindle has all the latest and most advanced upgrades, mods, and weapons that he keeps mostly in his personalhammerspace storage dimension, which is located in a drawer in his chest. As persistent as any businessmech can be, Swindle doesn’t like leaving meetings with people without some assurance that they can be useful to him in the future, whether it be as a customer, business partner, or employee. A good business should always have a network after all!
So, what does honesty mean to Swindle? Well, you can always be assured that whatever he’s selling you is exactly what he says it is. Swindle is not someone who tells outright lies to anyone, in fact he’s pretty adamant about telling the truth as it is. That’s not to say that he’s an honest fellow though! If anything, Swindle enjoys keeping certain parts of the truth to himself, or bending the truth as far as it can go without breaking it. When it comes to morals, things tend to get tricky. It’s not that Swindle doesn’t draw the line somewhere... it’s that he constantly erases it and puts it somewhere else. He handles things on a case-by-case basis, and makes his moral decisions based on his current situation. The deciding factor is usually profit: Is it worth the guilty feelings he’s going to get about it later? Usually the answer is “yes”, so it’s not something Swindle worries about too often.
*Powers/Abilities: Swindle’s charisma is is almost formidable in its efficiency, as he’s usually able to talk himself out of just about any situation, and it fully explains why he’s still alive despite the occasional unhappy customer who wants to kill him. He’s very business minded, and knows how to work an economy like the back of his hand. For him, it’s always business before pleasure.
Swindle knows weapons of all kinds inside and out, and he happens to have a passion for finding rare ones. However, while he has a good aim and all, he’s not much of a fighter. He’d much rather be far away from the battlefield as possible. One of Swindle’s most notable traits is his subspace drawer. Inside it he keeps a lot of his weapons and there isn’t much in the way of a limit to how much he can stick in there.
Oh, and he can transform into a SUV.

[Locked to Decepticons]
Hello my fellow Decepticons! For those who do not know, my name is Swindle, and given the right persuasion, I could be your best friend. Or at the very least, an extremely reliable and useful partner. So what am I and why am I making contact like this? Well, I happen to be a merchant of sometimes questionable goods, and I'd hate for our Autobot friends to get wind of this, since a lot of what I sell is not on the... legal side of things. But I get the feeling that this doesn't bother anyone.
So what exactly do I have to sell? Well, this Sonic Jammer 3000 has just served me magnificently recently, and I bet that it could serve you just fine too! Is a two-in-one deal not your cup of energon? Well, I also come stocked with the best force-field technology that money can buy, not to mention some very interesting triple-barrel blasters if anyone is remotely interested.
I also energon and items for cosmetic uses. Want to shine brighter than a sun? Well I have just the products for you.
So what will you use to pay for these wonderful things? Well, we'll have to work that out won't we?
[Locked to Autobots]
Greetings one and all, my name is Swindle and don't let this symbol fool ya', I'm perfectly willing to cut you all a marvellous deal on what I have to offer. Mods, upgrades, energon, and even things for cosmetic purposes are cluttering up my storage and I would love to let you have them! For a price that is. And don't worry, I assure all of you that everything I have for you is perfectly legal and has been approved by the Autobot laws and regulations that govern our planet.
[Which isn’t necessarily a lie...]

Hmm, Swindle wanted to say that it was just another friday night, but no, even he found this extremely peculiar. His ship and those silly clones on it were gone, and he couldn’t even identify which planet he was on. Swindle liked to think that he was very well travelled, and that only a few corners of the universe were unfamiliar to him. One of the downsides and upsides to being a merchant was that he never had to stay in one place for too long.
Of course, if he stayed anywhere too long, enemies and Autobots would find him.
It would be nice to just sit here and examine the constellations, but Swindle was a busy mech, and vacations were out of the question. Swindle liked his job, so it wasn’t exactly a great loss. Also he couldn’t leave those two alone for a cycle, who knew what kind of trouble they’d get into. Oh Swindle wasn’t worried about their own safety, he was sure they could take whatever trouble they got into, he just didn’t want them messing around with any of his... more delicate merchandise. Sometimes having clones was more trouble than it was worth, but Swindle was sort of, maybe, a little fond of them, for whatever reason.
Standing, Swindle tried to contact his ship and the silly clones on it through his comm link, but to no avail. That was almost worrisome, Swindle had some of the best communications technology in the galaxy, why wouldn’t it work? Did they leave it off again? Huh, there wasn’t any point in getting all worked up about it, Swindle decided that he should explore this barren wasteland, see what unexpected prizes it had to offer. He had to be here for a reason after all...
Final Notes: My apologies if Swindle's inventory is a bit much. If the modly mods deem it overkill, I'll be happy to cut it down a lot.
